INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY:2021-22

Amidst the Covid-19 crisis, AIR FORCE SCHOOL JALAHALLI has organised an online session on yogato celebrated the International Yoga day on 21st June 21. Students& teachers were participated in different yoga practices and asana to promote overall development in both the mental and the physical health. A large number of students and staff members took part in the online session with great passion and enthusiasm.The students of class VI – X and teachers performed Yoga between 8:15 am to 10:30 am. The online yoga session was a beautiful array of beautiful yogic postures and interesting information about the benefits of yoga.The students were enlightened on the importance of Yoga and how it is helps to maintain not only physical and mental health but also a healthy social life. Yoga is a mental, physical and spiritual practice that needs to be carried out every day.Yoga gives an amazing balance to life. It makes one peaceful inside and dynamic outside and at the same time it makes us appreciate the finer things in life, appreciate the diversity that is there in the world around us, and yet to be in harmony. Yoga makes one very skillful and brings lot of energy. The students and teachers were practiced various Aasanas starting with warming up and stretching followed by the series of Padmasana, Paschimottasans, Pawan Muktasana, Vajrasana, Dhanurasana, Chakrasana, Sarvangasana, Halasana, Bhujangasana, finally ended with Pranayama and meditation. Prayers were also recited before and after the programme, it concluded with the pledge– For Longevity. This was a great opportunity to imbibe the value of discipline. Children got the chance to know how yoga embodies unity of mind and body.Yoga session was conducted by Yoga teacher Mrs.Mukta and culminated with the following pledge;

“I commit myself always to be in a balanced state of mind. It is in this state that my highest self-development reaches its greatest possibility.

I commit to do my duty of self, family, at work, to society and to the world for promotion of peace healthy and harmony”.
